Publication Model

Continuous Publication Policy (Open Volume Model)

Starting January 1st, 2026, Lentera Perawat adopts the Open Volume model, also known as Continuous Publication. This publishing model enables articles to be published individually as soon as they complete the peer-review, editorial, and production processes, without waiting for the entire issue to be finalized.

Under this model, each accepted article is immediately published online in its final, fully citable form. The online version of the journal serves as the authoritative version of record, ensuring rapid dissemination of scholarly findings while maintaining rigorous peer-review standards.

Continuous publication offers several advantages. It significantly reduces the time between article acceptance and publication, allowing authors to share their research promptly with the academic community. Readers also benefit from faster access to the latest research developments without delays associated with traditional issue-based publication schedules.

Articles are assigned directly to an active volume upon publication. The volume remains open throughout the publication cycle and is progressively filled article-by-article. Once all planned content has been published, the volume is formally closed.

This approach reflects Lentera Perawat’s commitment to improving scholarly communication, enhancing research visibility, supporting timely citation, and aligning with international best practices in academic publishing.
